Waterfalls
Bali’s waterfalls are some of the island’s most breathtaking natural attractions hidden deep in the jungles or nestled beside rice terraces and cascading into rock pools.
For those who prefer stunning scenery without a strenuous trek, several of Bali’s waterfalls are easily accessible and are perfect for families, casual explorers, or a quick photo stop. The easiest to reach include Tegenungan, Tibumana, Kanto Lampo, Gitgit, and Leke Leke waterfalls, all offering beautiful views with minimal walking distance from the parking area.
I have included waterfalls in North Bali because they are among the island’s most spectacular. However, due to their distance from the main tourist areas, they’re best enjoyed as part of an overnight stay in Munduk or Lovina, rather than a single-day trip.

One of Bali’s most famous and easily accessible waterfalls, perfect for swimming and photography, located just outside Ubud.
Kanto Lampo Waterfall
Where: Ubud Area
A stepped rock cascade where water flows beautifully over the stones. This is a great spot for photos and is a short, easy visit.
Tibumana Waterfall
Where: Ubud Area
A beautiful twin-flow waterfall surrounded by tropical forest, known for its tranquil swimming pool and peaceful atmosphere.
Goa Raja Waterfall
Where: Ubud Area
A hidden gem, surrounded by jungle and offering a tranquil, spiritual setting.
Tukad Cepung Waterfall
Where: Ubud Area
Famous for its magical light beams shining through a cave opening. Best visited in the morning.
Yeh Labuh Waterfall (Sidemen)
Where: East Bali
A serene, lesser-known waterfall framed by rice terraces and quiet countryside views.
Leke Leke Waterfall
Where: Central North
A picturesque narrow cascade tucked away in a jungle ravine, popular for its scenic bamboo bridge and photogenic path.
Nungnung Waterfall
Where: Central North
Located between Ubud and Bedugul, this powerful 50 metre fall plunges into a deep pool surrounded by dense forest. It’s a rewarding visit for those who don’t mind the many steps down.
Peguyangan Waterfall
Where: Nusa Penida
A cliffside waterfall and sacred temple reached by an iconic blue stairway, offering ocean views and a spiritual experience.
Sekumpul Waterfall (Singaraja)
Where: North Bali (overnight trip)
Often called Bali’s most spectacular waterfall, featuring multiple tall cascades in a lush valley. The short trek down is well worth it.
Fiji Waterfall (near Sekumpul)
Where: North Bali (overnight trip)
Close to Sekumpul, this smaller but stunning set of three streams is less crowded and equally photogenic.
Gitgit Waterfall

A classic Bali landmark with a tall single drop and easy access, making it a family-friendly choice.
Aling-Aling Waterfall

Known for its natural water slide and cliff-jumping spots, perfect for thrill-seekers.
Munduk Waterfalls

A collection of four waterfalls in the Munduk area (Melanting, Red Coral, Lebuhan Kebo and Golden Valley). The trek time to see all four is 6-8 hours from Munduk.
